Tiffany's Chic Rustic Wedding

This past weekend I stayed plenty busy partaking in wedding festivities for my wonderful college roommate Tiffany. Tiffany met her husband Derek when we lived together sophomore year and there has no doubt been anticipation for this wedding ever since.

Friday of course was the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. We started out at First Christian Church Plano and then finished at Derek's aunt's house for BBQ. Also that night we had a bridesmaids moment where Tiff passed out her bridesmaids gifts. Us lucky girls were given jewelry, getting ready shirts, and matching clutches for the Big Day. The clutches, ordered from Etsy, had the cutest personalized message inside.

Saturday morning then started out at the salon for Texas-sized hair-do's, breakfast and mimosas. The matching navy mens button-up's Tiff gave us were perfect for getting ready.

Unfortunately while at the salon rainy weather kicked in, but have no fear, it was NOT going to rain on our parade (or hair).

Up next was getting ready for the aisle. The bridal party jazzed up awesome any-time navy J.Crew dresses and Tiff transformed into a bejeweled princess.

Not only was Tiff a princess, but she was a Longhorn princess.

AND I am proud to say that I myself made the garter.

Well fortunately the ceremony went well. No one fell walking down the aisle and we did not have a runaway bride (or groom). So after Tiff and Derek became Mr. and Mrs. and after we formal pictured our lives away, we headed to the reception at the Cotton Mill in McKinney. Upon arrival we were greeted with none other than a mariachi band.

While guests may not have necessarily received a personal mariachi serenade upon entrance, they did get to take a moment to "sign in." Rather than a traditional signing a traditional guest book though, the guests were asked to leave the newlyweds some advice.

And after leaving choice advice, guests were then able to grab their party favors and make their way to their seats.

Each table was named after a place that was special to Tiff and Derek. The table names were framed ever so cutely in the center of the tables and were accompanied by a brief description of the place's significance. Our table was Shipley's, where the newlyweds had their first date.

Let me also note how cute Tiff's apple green and navy colors turned out with the rustic wood character of the venue.

And while Tiff did pick out the perfect accent colors and decor, the Cotton Mill itself would have been beautiful even if it were bare naked. I thought the place was gorgeous and perfect in every way.

All in all the wedding was great, the reception was great, and the company was great.

I think I speak for all when I say, "We love you Tiff and Cheers to 50 years!"
