I grew up less than an hour away from Canton, Texas and had NEVER been to First Monday Trade Days until last month.

More Random Shopping at Ross

I have a Ross addiction. Say what you want because I already know, and I don't care. I can easily waste my entire lunch hour mindlessly wandering the aisles, pondering if I need things that I don't really need at all. The mark downs just get me every time (total sucker)! I went in before vacation to buy Mickie a dog outfit for the Texas Rangers Bark in the Park night. I found one... for $3.99... and about 5 other things.

Randoms at Ross

If you know me well, you probably know I am a pretty frugal person, and I am a 100% sucker for a good deal, almost to a fault. With that being said, shopping at Ross is basically shooting an arrow into my Achilles heel. Why I am still allowed in that store (along with Target, World Market, Central Market and Hobby Lobby), I'm not really sure.

So what exactly gets me at Ross? Everything.

 

Even clothes sometimes.

 

The Magic of Craigslist

First off, for anyone who does not know what Craigslist is or does, it's basically an online garage sale where individuals can buy, sell or giveaway things or services. Second off, if you have random things you need to buy or sell (and this could literally be anything) and you haven't yet used Craigslist, you really need to look into it.

So why do I feel the need to post about a website that's been popular for quite a few years? Because Sunday night I posted 5 items and as of last night, 3 have been picked up and the rest have been inquired about. These items have been in our garage for months and in under a week, our garage will be cleared (finally).

Cute Patterned Target Melamine Plates

Ever since the wedding I've had cute melamine plates on my "to-buy" list. Specifically I've had them on my Target "to-buy" list (with wedding gift cards of course). It might not sound sensible to want another set of plates considering we just received new Fiestaware for the wedding, but realistically Fiesta dishes are just not always necessary for things like sandwiches and chips. And plus, I'd prefer to have something non-breakable on hand to eat on outside or to give to kids.

So luckily, after unsuccessfully finding cute plates on Target's website, I found the perfect patterned set in the actual store.

Why You Should Register at Macy's

For our wedding we registered at Target, Crate and Barrel and Macy's. The three stores were no doubt the perfect mix of options for our guests and our gifts. And while I do love ALL of the stores, right now Macy’s is sitting very pretty in my eyes – pretty to the point that I need to write a blog about it.

Since my wedding Macy’s has conveniently sent me email notices that include registry completion discounts, and since then I’ve learned that if you pair these discounts with a good sale, you can walk out with one heck of deal. Well, last Thursday was one of those days where I racked up on Macy’s savings.
